Christmas Bug Tear Bear Ornament

Hi, Everyone! I'm on the Kadoodle Bug Designs blog today.

Today, I'm sharing this super cute Christmas Bug Ornament Decoration.

This svg is free and EXCLUSIVE to Cricut Lovers Guide to Design Space. I love this group. It is wonderful for getting advice, learning new techniques and connecting with other Cricut users.

I love that Kadoodle Bug Designs creates exclusives just for this group.

I downloaded this file from the files tab inside the group. I then took the svg file and uploaded it into Cricut Design Space and I cut all of the pieces out with my Cricut Explore.

I took my Christmas Bug pieces and traced them into the back of thick mulberry paper. I took the pieces that I wanted furry and wet them around the edges using a water brush. I then tore out each piece. Flipped the pieces upside down after they were dry and took a wire brush to their edges.

I did the same with the white to my Christmas Bug's Santa Suit.

I cut my pieces that I didn't want furry out with scissors.

I cut the Santa Suit and hat in Crushed Red Velvet by Doodlebug Design.

The cookies were created with texture and smooth cardstock from Recollections.

I chalked everything with Colorbox Cats Eye Chalk. I used Charcoal, Chestnut Roan, and Green. Just a touch of pink was added using Peebles chalk. I used black and white pens to add more details.

I punched a hole in this Christmas Bugs hat and attached a super cute festive Christmas ribbon.

My finishing touch was taking a soft brush to the entire project.

I'm honored to share my Christmas Bug with you. I just love how it looks.

Thanks so much for your visit.

3D Gingerbread House Christmas Decoration

Welcome to KaDoodle Bug Design's Holiday Blog Hop!  We are so excited to have you join us today! At each stop of the hop we hope you will be inspired by the creativity of the design team.

You should be arriving from Saundra's blog. If you happened across this post out of order, please head to the KaDoodle Bug Design's Blog to start at the beginning of the hop.

For my hop project. I used this super cute "OH Ginger Snaps" file. I knew I was making it from the moment I saw it. I had been hoping Melissa would bring out gingers. She didn't disappoint that's for sure, because look at how adorable this file is!

For the house I used the Cricut House Box from Tags, Boxes, and More 2. I took a square and welded it where the door opening was in Cricut Design Space. I then stretched the front to match the house from the cut file. I then took the window frames and copied and pasted to make 2 more. I took those 2 copies and attached them where I wanted windows on my house. After cutting out all of my pieces with my Cricut Explore. I cut and glued pieces of acetate sheets to the back of the windows, so they would appear real.

You can put a tealight candle through the bottom. This will light up your decoration. And this is my intended plan.

I made this 3D Gingerbread House Christmas Decoration with Tear Bear Gingers.

I made these gingers with mulberry paper and fluffed them so they would be all furry.

And then... I decorated everything using The Sugarplums Collection by Doodlebug Design. I used their super cute cardstock for the house and all of the accessories. As well as the velvet door and the sparkling Sprinkles.

I got the white snow look using shaved ice by Stampendous. I placed some glue where I wanted snow and pinched flakes down onto the glue and then shook off the excess.

Other supplies include: Scissors, Fabri Tac, various colorbox inks and Peebles Chalk.

This house measures approximately 4 inches.

Thanksgiving Tear Bear Turkey Card

Tear Bear Turkey Thanksgiving Card.

I made this turkey from a thick handcrafted mulberry paper. I found the perfect turkey pattern from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

I uploaded the svg cutting file to Cricut Design Space and cut out it out using my Cricut Explore. I traced all of the pieces into the back of the mulberry. I wet the outlines of each piece and tore them out. The feathers I didn't wet instead, after tracing them I cut them out with scissors and left them as is. I then used colorbox chalk and chalked my edges.

I assembled the pieces and attached them together using Fabri Tac.

The background is made of my favorite cardstock by Doodlebug Design.

This tear bear turkey is my current giveaway on Facebook.

The cute fox is a digital stamp from Craftin Desert Diva's. I colored the fox with copic markers. I didn't have an orange in my copic marker collection. So I used R24 (Red), Y17 (yellow) to make orange and then I added some brown E15. For the eyes I used a blue gelly roll pen.
I added a pink ribbon and some sequins to dress this stamped card up a bit.
